Storyfold is available on the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android. We do not currently offer a browser story-generation service.
A story is not following your direction
Use the action field below the three choices to state the next event clearly. Include who is present, what should happen immediately, and any detail you want to preserve. For a new story, put the desired opening moment in your creation prompt. Story ratings and provider content restrictions still apply.
Editing and replacing a section
Every prompt has an Edit this prompt entry, including the creation prompt and prompts from previous chapters. Write your new direction and choose Replace this section to update only that prompt and its AI answer. Later prompts and passages stay in place. The current default generation fee is 2 Star Coins regardless of how old the prompt is. The reader waits for actual new prose before moving to the edited prompt.
Creating, keeping, and switching versions
Choose New version in the prompt editor to create a different future. It retains text before that prompt and regenerates the selected answer; you write what happens next. The original version keeps its full story. The current default is 20 Star Coins, including generation. Versions receive numbered names, can be renamed for free, and are available beside every prompt. Switching to another version costs 10 Stars; selecting the current version is free. Failed actions refund the full charge. Versions are saved on this device, without public hosting or account cloud sync.
Image or PDF export problems
Current defaults: create a story with its cover for 30 Star Coins, write or rewrite a passage for 2, regenerate a description for 5, regenerate a cover for 15, create a scene photo for 12, and export a PDF for 10.
Check the cost shown before confirming. Scene photos require an internet connection. PDF export uses the written story saved on your device. If a feature fails, check the error and any Star refund shown in the app. If the problem continues, contact us with the app version, iOS version, approximate time, and a short description.
Free system read-aloud
Read aloud now uses the system voice on your iPhone. It is free and reads the full selected passage; Chinese uses Mandarin. The passage is not sent to Google Text-to-Speech or another narration service. Tap again to stop. Other optional voice-conversation features use their own providers and are separate from reading a story.
Sharing rewards
Use the share icon at the top of the reader to send an invitation and the official website link. Complete an eligible destination share to earn 3 Stars at most once per day across all stories. Canceling, copying, saving, printing, and sharing an exported PDF do not qualify. Opening the sheet alone earns nothing.
Purchases and subscriptions
The USD base prices are 100 Star Coins for $0.99, 250 for $2.49, 500 for $4.99, 1,000 for $9.99, 2,500 for $24.99, 5,000 for $49.99, and 10,000 for $99.99. Monthly membership is $9.99 and annual membership is $99.99; both provide 1,000 Star Coins each month while active. All creation uses Star Coins. Local prices and subscription renewal terms are shown in the store before you confirm.
Use Restore Purchases in the app for supported membership entitlements. Manage an active subscription in your Apple account settings. If Apple charged you but the app did not deliver the expected benefit, contact us with the product name and date. Do not send payment-card details or account passwords.
Local data and deletion
Stories and reading progress are stored on your device. Export a PDF before clearing data if you want to keep a copy. Delete My Account clears Storyfold’s local profile, stories, images, Stars, and settings. It does not cancel an Apple subscription or remove copies you have already shared.
