The scene photo is the chat background
Pick a view.
You're standing there.
Choose Oia at golden hour, the vermilion gates at Fushimi Inari, or a bare sandbank in the Maldives. The photo becomes the background of your conversation, an arrival note drops into the transcript, and the companion travelling with you reacts to where you now are — and starts playing local guide.

Four taps from here to somewhere else
No missions, no chapters, no prerequisites. Travely is deliberately small: four tabs, and the only thing gating anything is stars.
Choose a view
Every destination is visible from the first launch — five separate views inside each one. Locked ones show their price on the card instead of hiding behind a wall.
Arrive
The background cross-fades to the new scene, an arrival line lands in the transcript, and your companion opens with something specific to that exact spot.
Talk, listen, call
Text is always free. Tap any reply to hear it in their voice, or open a live call — with the place you're standing in as the call background.
Stamp your passport
Check in and the spot lights up on your map, with the companion you were with. Countries and cities accumulate into a travel record that is yours.
What makes it feel like being there
The view is the room
Most chat apps put a wallpaper behind the text. Here the scene photo is where the conversation is happening, and it changes the moment you move somewhere else.
A guide who knows the place
Each view carries a true fact — why Oia faces west, what the torii gates at Fushimi Inari are actually for. Your companion is grounded in it rather than inventing history.
Voices, and real calls
Tap a reply to hear it. Or ring them: a live back-and-forth conversation, with your current view behind it. Every companion has their own gender-matched voice.
A passport that fills up
Every check-in is a stamp on the world map, tagged with where you were and who you were with. Tap one and the memory opens: the photo, the guide note, the date.
Nobody is tied to a place
Companions and destinations are completely independent. Take anyone anywhere, and swap who you're travelling with whenever the mood changes.
Works on a plane
All 316 photos and the whole catalogue ship inside the app. Browsing, travelling and your map all work with the device offline — only live conversation needs a signal.
Twenty-eight places, and one that isn't a place
From an Aegean caldera to the Serengeti at dusk, a misty stretch of the Great Wall, and — because the point of an imaginary journey is that it doesn't have to be possible — low orbit above the Earth.

Forty-four people who'd come with you
Twenty-four women and twenty men, each with their own personality, way of talking and voice. Two are free from the start; the rest cost stars. None of them are real people — they are written characters, and the app says so before you begin.

Is any of this real travel?
No, and the app is direct about that before you start. Travely is a role-playing experience. The companions are fictional AI characters, and every destination photo is AI-generated — inspired by real places rather than a photograph of one. Travely books nothing and is not travel advice.
Does it need an internet connection?
Mostly not. All 316 photos and the entire catalogue ship inside the app, so browsing destinations, moving between views and your passport map work with the device fully offline. Only live conversation, voice replies and calls need a signal.
Is it free?
Free to download, and text chat is always free. Two destinations and two companions are unlocked from the start. Stars unlock the rest and pay for voice replies and live calls — you earn them from a daily bonus and from check-ins, or buy them. Premium adds a renewing star allowance and doubles the daily bonus.
Do I have to keep the same companion?
No. Companions and destinations are entirely independent — anyone can come anywhere, and you can swap who is travelling with you at any point without losing your progress or your map.
Does it track my real location?
No. Travely never asks for location access. Checking in stamps the place you are pretending to be, not where your phone actually is.
What languages does it speak?
Twelve: English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Malay and Hungarian. Companions reply in the language you write in.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet — Travely is iPhone only, iOS 17 or later.
Somewhere else, in about ten seconds
Santorini and Paris are unlocked from the moment you open it. Pick a view and see whether standing there with someone changes how it feels.
