Contact Support ([email protected])Common Troubleshooting
- No Sound: Turn up media volume while playing a note and check the active speaker, headphones or Bluetooth output. The iOS app uses a playback audio session, so the Silent switch alone does not mute the piano.
- Touch Latency: Melokey uses low-latency native audio threads. Ensure battery saver mode is disabled for optimal frame rate and immediate acoustic response.
- Restore VIP: Connect to the Internet, sign in to the same Apple or Google store account used for your purchase, and open Settings > Restore Purchases. Android VIP offers weekly, monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions, plus a one-time lifetime purchase. The current iOS release offers Lifetime VIP. An expired subscription no longer unlocks premium access. Manage or cancel a recurring plan in your Apple or Google store account before renewal. Apple and Google purchases do not transfer between stores.
- Android Ad Unlocks: Rewarded ad unlocks are stored locally and do not restore as purchases. A network connection and an available ad are required. Where available, Settings > Ad Privacy Choices lets you review your advertising choices.
Record and Save a Piano Performance
Open Free Play to use the landscape keyboard. Tap Rec; the button changes to Stop with a timer. Play your notes, then tap Stop to finish the take. Score generates sheet music, while Video creates a landscape MP4 containing animated notes and synthesized piano audio. Microphone permission is not needed.
Direct video export requires an active VIP membership. Version 1.1 also offers an optional rewarded-ad export. Wait for rendering to finish, then choose where to save or share the file in your device's share sheet. If a saved video has no sound, raise playback volume and check its audio output. Include your app version and device model when reporting an issue.
Learning with Falling Notes
Start with Listen to hear a melody. Choose Learn when you want the highlighted notes to wait for your input, or Play to measure timing and accuracy. Slower 0.5× and 0.75× tempos help you practice difficult passages. Your scores and lesson progress are kept on your device.
