Welcome to Rate Life! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rate Life mobile application ("App"), operated by Caitty ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Rate Life, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rate Life, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the App, including visitors, registered users, and premium subscribers.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any updates.

2. Description of Service

Rate Life is a personal journaling and life tracking application that allows users to:

• Rate various aspects of their daily life on a customizable scale
• Track patterns and trends in their well-being over time
• Add notes, reflections, and journal entries to daily ratings
• View statistical insights and visualizations of their life data
• Export their data for personal use
• Customize rating categories to match personal goals

The App is designed for personal use only and is not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing mental health issues, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Rate Life. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App and agree to these Terms. By using Rate Life, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the minimum age requirement
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• All information you provide to us is accurate and complete

4. User Account and Security

Some features of Rate Life may require you to create an account or sign in using Apple Sign-In or other authentication methods. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up-to-date

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

5. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Rate Life offers both free and premium subscription options:

5.1 Free Features

The free version of Rate Life includes:

• Limited daily rating entries
• Basic trend visualization
• Core journaling functionality

5.2 Premium Subscription

Rate Life Premium unlocks additional features and is available through the following auto-renewing subscription options:

• Monthly Premium — Billed monthly at the price displayed in the App Store. Provides unlimited ratings, advanced statistics, and full access to all premium features.
• Yearly Premium — Billed annually at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing. Includes all premium features with cost savings for committed users.

5.3 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. The trial duration and terms will be disclosed at the time of signup. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

6. Payment and Billing

All subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing to Rate Life Premium:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription rate
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• Prices are subject to change; however, any price changes will not affect your current subscription period

7. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings:

1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device
2. Tap your name at the top, then tap "Subscriptions"
3. Select Rate Life from your subscription list
4. Tap "Cancel Subscription" and follow the prompts

Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store policies. We do not directly process refunds for App Store purchases.

8. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you create within Rate Life, including ratings, journal entries, notes, and personal reflections ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of your User Content
• Backing up your data as desired
• Any consequences resulting from sharing your data

We do not claim ownership of your User Content and will not use it for advertising or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Rate Life only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Circumvent any technical measures we use to provide the service
• Use automated means to access the App without our express permission
• Sublicense, sell, or redistribute the App or any part thereof

10. Intellectual Property

Rate Life and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Caitty and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. This includes but is not limited to:

• The App's source code, design, and user interface
• Our trademarks, logos, and brand elements
• Documentation, graphics, and promotional materials
• Algorithms and data processing methods

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App or its content without our explicit written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

RATE LIFE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT
• WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE APP

We do not warrant that the App will meet your specific requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CAITTY, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Damages from service interruption or system failure
• Any matters beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Caitty and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your User Content

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Rate Life immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Breach of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Conduct that may harm other users or our reputation
• Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Caitty operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Caitty regarding your use of Rate Life and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
