Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Sketch Whiteboard at caitty.com/sketch-whiteboard. By using the studio, exporting files, importing JSON, purchasing Pro, or activating a license key, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Sketch Whiteboard is an online drawing and diagramming tool for hand styled shapes, arrows, text notes, rough wireframes, freehand sketches, local autosave, PNG export, JSON export, JSON import, and optional premium exports. The tool is intended for visual thinking, documentation, education, support, and lightweight design communication.

2. Free Use

The free version is available without registration and includes the core drawing studio, local autosave, PNG export, editable JSON import, and editable JSON export. Free boards have an editable element limit. This limit may change over time as we balance product costs, browser performance, and premium feature value.

3. Pro Lifetime License

Sketch Whiteboard Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Stripe. Pro unlocks unlimited editable elements, high-resolution PNG export, transparent PNG export, SVG export, and license activation on devices you control. After checkout, a license key is generated and tied to the email used during payment.

• You may use Pro for personal, educational, freelance, commercial, and internal business work.
• You may activate your license on multiple browsers or devices that you control.
• You may not resell, sublicense, publicly post, or share your license key as a public entitlement.
• "Lifetime" means there is no subscription renewal for the license. It does not guarantee that the service, domain, browser APIs, or third-party dependencies will operate forever.

4. Stripe Payments

Payments are handled through Stripe Checkout. You agree to provide accurate payment information to Stripe and to comply with Stripe's checkout terms. Caitty may use Stripe session and payment records to confirm purchases, issue license keys, process refunds, investigate fraud, and answer support requests.

5. Refunds

If Pro does not meet your needs, contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase. We will review the request and can issue a full refund for ordinary individual purchases. After a refund, the associated license key may be deactivated. Abuse, fraud, chargeback manipulation, or public redistribution of license keys may make a purchase ineligible for refund.

6. Your Content and Exports

You retain ownership of the diagrams, notes, sketches, exported images, exported SVG files, and exported JSON files you create with Sketch Whiteboard. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to include any text, diagrams, concepts, or imported data that you place on the board. The tool does not grant rights to third-party material that you add yourself.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to create, store, export, or distribute unlawful content, content that infringes someone else's rights, malicious instructions, or material involving exploitation of minors. You also agree not to attack the service, overload the license endpoint, tamper with checkout flows, attempt to forge Pro license keys, or bypass access controls through automation or reverse engineering.

8. Service Changes

We may update Sketch Whiteboard to fix bugs, improve browser compatibility, change limits, adjust pricing, add features, remove features, or replace third-party libraries. We will try to preserve the value of Pro features, but browser tools depend on changing browser APIs, payment providers, and hosting infrastructure. The service is provided on a best-effort basis.

9. Availability and Backups

Because the editor stores drawings locally in your browser, you are responsible for exporting JSON backups for work you need to preserve. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing devices, or browser storage cleanup can remove local scenes. Caitty is not responsible for lost local drawings that were not exported or backed up by you.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that exported files will be accepted by every third-party tool, that every browser will render the canvas identically, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caitty and the operators of Sketch Whiteboard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using Sketch Whiteboard at any time. We may suspend or deactivate license access if you violate these terms, share keys publicly, attempt to forge purchases, or abuse the service. If we discontinue the service for reasons unrelated to a violation, we will make reasonable efforts to keep existing exports and local JSON files usable.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
