Sketch Whiteboard is a browser-based drawing and diagramming tool available at caitty.com/sketch-whiteboard. This policy explains how the service handles drawings, local storage, Stripe checkout, license activation, and supporting third-party scripts. The short version is that drawings are processed on your device and are not uploaded to Caitty servers by the whiteboard editor.

1. Drawings Stay in Your Browser

The whiteboard canvas, rough-style shape rendering, text editing, import, and export features run in your web browser. Shapes, arrows, text labels, freehand paths, and layout coordinates are stored locally on your device. When you export PNG, SVG, or JSON files, the file is generated by the browser and downloaded directly to your computer.

Sketch Whiteboard does not receive your drawing content, diagram text, imported JSON files, generated PNG files, or generated SVG files. We do not maintain a remote drawing database and we do not provide cloud collaboration in this version of the tool.

2. Local Storage

The tool uses browser localStorage to make the studio useful without requiring an account. This storage is controlled by your browser and can be cleared through your browser settings. Local storage may include:

• The current editable scene, including object types, positions, colors, text, and paths.
• Viewport settings such as zoom, pan position, and grid visibility.
• Style settings such as stroke color, fill color, and stroke width.
• Free or Pro status for this browser.
• If you activate Pro: the email tied to your checkout, the license key, and activation date.

3. Stripe Checkout

Pro purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe hosts the checkout page and handles card details, payment authentication, receipts, and payment security. Caitty does not see or store your full card number, card security code, or bank credentials.

After a successful payment, our license endpoint receives Stripe session details needed to confirm the purchase and create a Sketch Whiteboard license key. This may include the checkout session ID, payment status, purchase email, and payment intent ID. We use that data to unlock Pro access, verify license activation, and answer support requests about purchases.

4. License Activation

When you activate Pro on another device, the activation form sends your email and license key to the Sketch Whiteboard API. The API checks Stripe purchase records and returns whether the license is valid. If activation succeeds, this browser stores a Pro flag locally so premium export features remain unlocked.

We may log activation attempts for security, fraud prevention, and support. Activation logs do not contain your drawings because drawings are not sent to the activation endpoint.

5. Third-Party Scripts

The page loads a small number of third-party scripts to provide the product experience:

• Rough.js for hand drawn shape rendering.
• Lucide for toolbar icons.
• Stripe.js for secure checkout redirection.

When your browser requests these scripts, the providers may receive standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and timestamp. Those providers handle that metadata under their own privacy policies.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Sketch Whiteboard itself does not require a login cookie. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies on checkout pages to process payments and prevent fraud. If analytics or advertising scripts are added to the broader Caitty site, they will receive standard page-view metadata, but they will not receive your local drawing scene unless you manually copy it somewhere outside the tool.

7. Data Retention

Local drawing data remains in your browser until you clear the board, import a different scene, or clear site data for caitty.com. Purchase and license records are retained for as long as needed to honor lifetime license activation, process refunds, prevent abuse, comply with accounting obligations, and provide support.

8. Children

Sketch Whiteboard is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a purchase or support request, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. If a future version adds cloud storage, collaboration, user accounts, or server-side drawing processing, this policy will be updated before those features are launched.
