Serein is a sleep-sound app from Caitty. It plays bundled soundscapes and mixer sounds on your device. This policy explains what the app processes, why, and how to reach us.
What stays on your device
- No account, no microphone. Serein never asks for microphone access, never records your surroundings and does not require you to sign in.
- Preferences: language, volume, favourites, saved mixes, your last scene, the sleep timer, and the timestamps of any rewarded-ad unlocks are stored only on this device. Uninstalling the app removes them.
- Audio: every sound ships inside the app. Playback never uploads or downloads anything.
Advertising (free version)
The free version shows Google AdMob advertising: a banner, a native card in the sound grid, an occasional interstitial when a scene is opened, and rewarded videos you choose to watch. Google's SDK may process device identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic data to deliver and measure ads. We request non-personalized ads. Where required, a consent form appears before any ad request and you can change your choices at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices. See policies.google.com/privacy for Google's policy. Serein Plus removes all ad placements.
Purchases
Serein Plus subscriptions are processed by Google Play (and by Apple on iOS). The app reads signed purchase information to unlock Plus; it never receives your payment details. Restore and manage subscriptions from Settings.
What we do not do
- We do not run our own analytics servers or collect usage data outside what the ad SDK processes.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share data with third parties beyond Google AdMob and the app store that handles your purchase.
Children
Serein is not directed to children under 13. Users under the age of majority should use the app with a parent or guardian's permission.
Your choices and data deletion
Because Serein keeps no account and no server-side profile, deleting the app deletes everything it stored. Ad-related data held by Google is governed by Google's policy and your device's ad settings (reset or delete your advertising ID in system settings).
