Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Miss Soft is a toy. It has no accounts, no profiles, and no server of its own. This policy explains the little that does happen.
There are two ways to play it, and they are not the same on this point: the apps from the App Store and Google Play, and the browser version at caitty.com/miss-soft-app/play. Sections 1 to 5 are about the apps. Section 6 is about the browser version, which — being an ordinary page on this website — uses website analytics and Stripe payments. The playable page does not load AdSense ads.
1. What the app collects
Nothing. Miss Soft does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There is no sign-up, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporter in either app.
2. What stays on your device
Your colours, physics settings, saved looks and language choice are written to local storage inside the app and never leave your device. Deleting the app deletes them. A look you choose to share is encoded entirely inside the link you send — nothing about it is uploaded to us.
3. Advertising in the apps
Some things — a second softie, the tip colour, the haptic strength, each new saved look, and Soft Coins for snacks — are unlocked by watching a rewarded video, served by Google AdMob. One more is shown when you leave fullscreen. When an ad is shown, Google receives data as described in its own policies — this can include your advertising identifier, IP address, device information and interaction with the ad. We never receive that data ourselves.
- An ad is only requested when you ask for one of those things, or when you leave fullscreen. Play without them and no ad request is ever made.
- In regions covered by GDPR and similar laws, a consent form is shown before any personalised ad request, using Google’s User Messaging Platform.
- On iOS you are asked separately, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, before anything may be used to track you. Declining leaves the app fully usable.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings at any time.
- Buying Miss Soft Premium turns every ad off, including the one on leaving fullscreen.
- Google’s policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Both apps carry the same advertising. Purchases — Premium, and packs of Soft Coins — are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details, and your Soft Coin balance is kept on your own device along with everything else in section 2.
4. Permissions
On Android the app requests internet and network-state access (only for the rewarded video), vibration (for the squish feedback), and the advertising ID. It does not request the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or storage.
5. Children
Miss Soft is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children. If ads are shown, they are requested as non-personalised where required by law.
6. The browser version
The same toy can be played at caitty.com/miss-soft-app/play without installing anything. Your colours, saved looks and Soft Coin balance are kept in this browser’s local storage. Web purchases are also recorded by our payment service so interrupted payments can be recovered and a receipt cannot be paid out twice. The browser version also uses the following services:
- Google Analytics (GA4) counts visits and a handful of anonymous events — that a snack was fed, that a coin pack was selected — so we can tell which parts of the toy people actually use. It sets cookies and receives your IP address; it is never told who you are, because we do not know.
- Stripe Checkout securely processes web purchases. Stripe receives the payment details you enter; our service receives a payment status, product and a random browser purchase identifier. We never receive your card number. Purchases and coins are tied to this browser: clearing site data loses that identifier and the local balance. Web subscriptions can be cancelled through “Manage subscription” in the Premium sheet. Web purchases do not transfer to the App Store or Google Play apps.
These web services do not run inside the App Store or Google Play apps — those load the identical page from inside the app and are deliberately excluded. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s own browser add-on, and manage ad personalisation at My Ad Center.
7. Your rights
To remove locally saved app data, delete the app. To remove browser data, clear site data; doing so also removes access to your browser purchase identifier and coin balance. For requests concerning web payment records, contact us through the support page. Transaction records may be retained where required for accounting or payment disputes.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
