Privacy Policy

Hair Styler AI is an app from Caitty that lets you see yourself with a different hairstyle or hair colour before you visit the salon. You pick a photo, choose a style, and the app returns an edited version of your photo. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes and how you can contact us.
Photos
The app only accesses photos you explicitly choose with the system photo picker or take with the camera. A photo is uploaded only when you tap Generate or AI Stylist. It is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to an AI image provider (Google Gemini, or fal.ai as a fallback) to produce the result, and then returns the result to your device. We do not store your photos or the generated images on our servers. Providers process the image only to fulfil the request under their own terms. Results and the original photo are saved solely on your device, under My Looks, and can be deleted individually or all at once from Settings.
Only use photos of yourself or of people who have given you permission. Do not upload photos of children.
Information We Process
- Photos you choose: processed as described above; never used to train models by us and never shared with anyone other than the AI provider fulfilling your request.
- Stars and settings: your Star balance, history, daily check-in days, chosen language and preferences are stored locally on your device and in your Android backup.
- Purchases and subscriptions: Google Play processes purchase and subscription information. The app only uses the purchase state to credit Stars and enable Premium (no ads, monthly Stars).
- Ads and device identifiers: free users may choose to watch a rewarded video ad to earn Stars, and an ad may be shown after the daily check-in. Google Mobile Ads and its partners may process advertising identifiers and related device data to provide ads and measure ad performance. Where required, a consent form is shown before ads are requested and can be revisited under Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Technical data: our server sees your IP address and the request time, used only for rate limiting and to keep the service running. We keep no per-user account or profile.
How We Use Information
- To create the hairstyle image or recommendation you asked for.
- To operate the Star economy, purchases, subscriptions and optional rewarded ads.
- To prevent abuse of the generation service.
Sharing
Photos are shared only with the AI provider that generates your result (Google Gemini API or fal.ai). Purchase data is handled by Google Play Billing and advertising by Google Mobile Ads, each under their own privacy practices. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and Deletion
Uploaded photos are held only for the seconds it takes to produce a result and are not retained. Everything else lives on your device: delete a look in the app, use Delete all looks in Settings, or uninstall the app. To ask a privacy question or request deletion, email [email protected].
Children
Hair Styler AI is not directed to children under 13, and photos of children must not be uploaded.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
