it's an amazing app for study. It's just like a game. You never feel bored about it. You can earn points and stones, from this you can buy many trees. It also gives achievement points that are truly appreciative.

it was a perfect app using it since 2022 . ii Loved it and it's sad that i am forced to give it this low rating 😔 . but the last update was awful. the app turned really slappy and cheep
I used this app daily until the recent update that added several slow animations/screens after each focus session and removed total time focused from the main page. I've switched apps because this breaks my focus, which is the whole point.
I have been using this app for a while now, it has helped me in staying focused. After the recent update I have started getting advertisements in-between, which is actually ruining the purpose of this app.

I used to love this app, I have the pro version. the new version is so distracting, it actually does the opposite of what I wanted this app for. It tries to keep you engaged for longer with the app and it is now very distracting. I wish there was the option to go back to the old version, without all the challenges and the new trees 😭
It's absolutely a 10/10 app. Especially the deep focus mode stops me from getting distracted anytime. Also I love how motivating it is, I can keep track of my daily progress which encourages me to work harder and increase my focus time the next day and makes everyday feel like a new, friendly challenge! Just one suggestion, it'd really be helpful if the team adds a feature where we can only access specific filters (like study materials from Google/youtube) since many of us require it daily.

It says it's a pomodoro timer, but it isn't. I wish there was an actual pomodoro system alongside the other timers in the app, and also a ringtone for when the timer goes off.

I had the old PRO version bought, stopped using the app for a while, and most of my bought trees have disappeared after the implementation of the plus version
way too many buttons to press after completing a session. horrible new interface that hinders rather than helps.
the app is good but I want you to add one thing that you should show in global or i. friends that if a person is using forest so for what the person is using it

It would be great if you could offer Premium as a reward for highly active users! Maybe users who consistently use the app could earn a few days or a week of Premium for free. I think that would be a really nice incentive to stay active. ❤️

Why did you remove the pro model for one time payment. I have been a forest user since 2020. The new subscription model is very annoying, kindly bring back the pro model.

Updated Review (10/3/2026): After 10 years of usage, this app has become bloated with unfixed bugs, unhelpful distracting UI requiring multiple press and slow animations, removal of favorite presets and free features to force users to pay. I'm looking for Forest app alternatives because after multiple feedbacks, developers doesn't listen and improve. This app does a great job of forcing you to keep focus and guilting you if you're derailing from your studies. Simple, does its job, and easy UI.

I’ve had this app for ages and gotten a lot of good out of it, enough that I paid for Pro mode years ago, but it’s gone downhill in the past few months. The new UI is awful. The old wheel was quick, easy to use, and actually showed what the tree would look like. The new one requires too many button presses. It’s clunky and unintuitive. It was bad enough when they pushed it on us by default, but now we don’t even have the option to switch back anymore. Why take away the option?

I am a UI UX Designer I would just love to tell you that your colour palette &interface is a chef kiss! Few suggestions are: if instead of just giving 5 to 6 trees to complete the focus challenge for 30 days you can include other trees to complete eg:like daily you can change the trees &you can give some new trees that users have to collect or buy it from store to complete challenge so it give more interaction within the app,add the pause button for basic user&fix the crashing of focus challenge

please revert back the previous UI, the new one is less inuitive and even worse. why change what was never broken and absolutely functional???

latest update ruined this. It doesn't show total focused time in the main page and has many glitches please add per day total time on the home screen of the app

Just useless! Allow list doesn't work properly. Even if the app isn't in allow list but opens even after taking plus . And then If you, by mistake clear all tabs then you can open all apps whether in allow list or not .
I have been using the forest for years now and the current version is the worst. I mean when I open the app they don't even show the time I focused in day..I am supposed to check it by visiting another option..back then after every session they used to show trees as planted and so it was satisfying to see the forest growing...but now I have to check the forest separately on my own...like you literally removed the best part of it..it's just another normal app...plus bring back old graphics please

Using forest since about 2019 and lovin'it, but kinda rude/disappointing not to notify/be notified about discontinuation within certain features
