Privacy Policy

AI Reply ("we", "our", or "us") is an iOS app and custom keyboard extension that helps you draft chat replies. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and — just as importantly — what never leaves your device.
1. The short version
- The AI Reply keyboard extension does not record your typing. We do not log keystrokes, clipboard contents, or the text fields you type into.
- The only text we send to our server is the short snippet you explicitly hand to AI Reply by tapping a reply-style button inside the keyboard.
- We do not sell your data. We have no ad SDKs reading your chats.
- You can stop using AI Reply at any time by disabling the keyboard or uninstalling the app.
2. Information we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to generate replies and keep the service running:
- Reply requests: When you tap a mode (Dating, Workplace, High-EQ, etc.), the message snippet you entered — and the chosen mode — are sent to our backend at
replyapi.caitty.comto generate the reply. Snippets are processed in real time and are not persisted to disk after the request completes. - Anonymous usage data: App launches, feature usage, crash logs, and basic device info (iOS version, device model, app version) to keep the app stable.
- Subscription & purchase data: If you subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We receive a receipt / transaction identifier from Apple so we can unlock premium features. We do not see your credit card number.
- An anonymous device identifier we generate on first launch to attribute your free daily credits and subscription entitlement. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
3. What we never collect
- We do not read the full contents of any app you are typing in. The keyboard only has access to what you paste or type inside the AI Reply input area — not the chat history in iMessage, WhatsApp, or anywhere else.
- We do not require "Allow Full Access" for functions unrelated to generating replies. Full Access is requested only because iOS requires it for the keyboard to reach our AI backend. When granted, the keyboard uses network access solely to call our reply endpoint.
- We do not collect contacts, location, photos, microphone, or calendar data.
- We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
4. How we use your information
We use the data collected to:
- Generate reply suggestions through our AI backend (powered by Google's Gemini model).
- Enforce free daily credits and subscription entitlements.
- Diagnose crashes and improve app stability and quality.
- Display advertisements in the free tier (see section 6).
5. Third-party services
AI Reply relies on the following third parties to operate:
- Google Gemini API — we forward the reply snippet you submit to Google's Gemini API to generate the suggested replies. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Apple App Store & StoreKit — handles all in-app purchases and subscriptions. Apple's privacy practices: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
- Google AdMob — displays ads in the free tier and serves the rewarded ads you can watch to earn bonus credits. AdMob may use a device identifier (IDFA) for ad measurement and personalization. See Google's privacy policy.
6. Advertising & Apple App Tracking Transparency
AI Reply uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. The first time the app needs to serve personalized ads, iOS will ask whether you want to allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you allow tracking, we may share your IDFA and ad-interaction data with AdMob for personalized advertising.
- If you decline, ads are still shown but not personalized, and we do not share your IDFA with ad partners.
- You can change this preference any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7. Subscriptions & billing
AI Reply offers monthly, quarterly, and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions processed by Apple. You can review or cancel your subscription any time in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Refund requests are handled by Apple: https://support.apple.com/HT204084.
Free users receive 3 reply generations per day, resettable by watching rewarded ads for bonus credits. No account or credit card is needed.
8. Data retention
Reply snippets you send to our AI backend are processed in memory to produce a suggestion and are not retained in application-level storage. Standard infrastructure logs (request timestamps, error codes) may be kept for up to 30 days for abuse detection and debugging, then automatically purged. Subscription receipts are retained for as long as your entitlement is active plus the minimum period required to meet tax and audit obligations.
9. Data security
All traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS). We apply industry-standard security controls to our infrastructure. No system is perfect — if you believe you've found a security issue, please email us at [email protected].
10. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of that data. Because we don't store your chat content and only keep an anonymous device identifier, deletion is straightforward — email us and we'll wipe any server-side records tied to your identifier.
- Opt out of personalized advertising through iOS ATT or Settings → Privacy & Security.
11. Children's privacy
AI Reply is rated 17+ and is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the associated data.
12. International users
AI Reply is operated from outside the EU. When you use the app, data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our providers (Google, Apple) operate. By using the app you consent to this transfer. Where applicable (e.g., GDPR / CCPA), you retain the rights granted by your local law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
