Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Lingua ("the Service"), an online translation tool operated by Caitty at caitty.com/translate. By using the Service you agree to these terms.

The Service

Lingua provides machine translation between supported languages using third-party translation technology. Machine translation is automated and may contain errors; do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions without professional human review.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to bypass usage limits, automating bulk requests, reselling translations, or using the Service for unlawful content. We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access that we reasonably believe is abusive or harmful to the Service.

Free and Pro plans

The free plan includes daily and per-request character limits. Pro is a paid monthly subscription that raises these limits and removes ads. Limits are described on the pricing page and may be adjusted over time to keep the Service sustainable.

Billing and cancellation

Pro is billed monthly through Stripe and renews automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your Stripe receipt; access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free plan. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

License keys

Your Pro license key is for your personal use across your own devices. Sharing or publishing the key may result in suspension of Pro access.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of translations or uninterrupted availability. Translation quality depends on third-party providers and may change.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caitty is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
