1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pet Friends, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pet Friends. In-app purchases require a valid Apple ID owned by an adult. Users under 18 must have a parent or guardian's permission to make purchases.

3. Description of Service

Pet Friends is a virtual companion app where you can chat with AI-driven animal characters, feed them food treats, listen to real animal sounds, view their photo galleries, and create custom pets. AI replies are fictional and generated by language models — they should not be interpreted as veterinary, medical, or professional advice.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

• Premium Subscription: Pet Friends offers monthly and yearly Premium plans that unlock all pets, all gallery photos, unlimited voice replies, and remove ads. Subscriptions auto-renew through your Apple ID until cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Gift Coins (Stars): Stars are a virtual currency used to feed your pets premium treats. Stars are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no real-world value. Purchased Stars can only be used inside Pet Friends.
• Refunds: All purchases are processed through Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under their published refund policy.
• Pricing: Prices are shown in your local currency at the time of purchase and may change. Active subscriptions keep the price they were purchased at until cancelled.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Pet Friends for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code or assets
• Bypass paid features or in-app purchase requirements
• Submit content (e.g. custom pet bios) that is hateful, sexual, illegal, or violates the rights of others
• Interfere with the operation of our chat or ad services

6. AI-Generated Content

AI replies are fictional and may occasionally be inaccurate or out of character. Pet Friends does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or emotional tone of any individual reply. Do not rely on AI replies for medical, legal, financial, or veterinary decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

All app content — including pet artwork, copy, sounds (used under permissive licenses with attributions inside the app bundle), and the Pet Friends name and logo — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Pet Friends at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pet Friends is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Pet Friends.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after the "Last updated" date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Caitty is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
