Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Markdown Editor (the "Service"), operated by Caitty at caitty.com/markdown-editor. By using the Service you agree to these terms.

The Service

Markdown Editor is a browser-based tool for writing, previewing, and exporting Markdown. The free plan provides live preview, fullscreen mode, the light theme, up to two saved documents, and Markdown and HTML copy/download. The Pro plan adds unlimited documents, premium themes, styled HTML export, and PDF export.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for the content you create with the Service and for complying with applicable laws. Do not use the Service to create or distribute unlawful material, or attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the Service or its license system.

Plans, payments, and billing

Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime license. Payments are processed by Stripe. The lifetime license may be paid by card or Alipay; subscriptions are billed to a card. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel anytime from the receipt Stripe emails you. When a subscription is cancelled, Pro access remains until the end of the current billing period and then ends.

License keys

After purchase you receive a license key tied to your checkout email, which unlocks Pro on a browser via the Activate feature. The key is for your personal use. The Service may periodically re-verify subscription licenses; lifetime licenses remain valid.

If something is not working as described, contact [email protected] and we will try to help, including a reasonable refund where appropriate.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Because your documents are stored locally in your browser, you are responsible for keeping your own backups by exporting your files. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caitty is not liable for any loss of data or other damages arising from use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
