Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

Coin Cup is rated 12+ on the App Store. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements. Use by anyone in a country where the Service is prohibited by law is not permitted.

2. What Coin Cup is — and is not

Coin Cup is a free-to-play soccer prediction game. You stake virtual coins on which side of a match will win, watch the live pari-mutuel odds shift as more fans join, and collect virtual coins if you predict correctly.

Coin Cup is not:

• A real-money gambling, sports betting, casino, or sweepstakes service.
• A way to win, withdraw, or transfer real money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or any other item of real-world value.
• A skill-for-prize contest.
• Affiliated with FIFA, US Soccer, Canada Soccer, the Mexican Football Federation, or any tournament organizer.

3. Virtual currency (coins, gems, credit score)

The Service uses three forms of virtual currency, all of which are licensed, non-transferable, non-redeemable in-app entitlements with no monetary value:

• Coins. Earned by daily check-ins, rewarded ads, winning predictions, the Lucky Wheel, and the welcome grant. Used to stake on predictions.
• Gems. Purchasable through Apple StoreKit. Used exclusively to unlock Lucky Wheel spins. Gems never grant a competitive edge in predictions or on the leaderboard.
• Credit score (reputation). A per-account integer that reflects how reliable a creator's results have been. Starts at 80 for new users; ranges from 0 to 100.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Coins, gems, and credit score have no cash equivalent and cannot be redeemed for money, prizes, goods, or services.
• You do not own coins, gems, or credit score; you have a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use them inside the Service.
• We may add, remove, modify, or expire any in-game currency at any time, including to correct bugs, refund mistaken transactions, or comply with law.
• If your account is terminated for any reason, any unused virtual currency is forfeited without compensation.

4. In-app purchases

Gem packs (USD $0.99 to $99.99) are sold as consumable in-app purchases through Apple StoreKit. Once gems are credited to your account, the purchase is complete and non-refundable except where required by law or by Apple's refund policy.

• Pricing. Prices are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase, in your local currency. Taxes are included where required.
• Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple: https://support.apple.com/HT204084. We do not process refunds directly.
• Receipt validation. Every purchase is verified server-side against Apple's StoreKit before gems are credited. If validation fails (for example, a duplicated or tampered receipt), no gems are granted and the user is notified inside the app.
• EULA. Your use of in-app purchases is also governed by Apple's Standard EULA: Apple Standard EULA.

Coin Cup does not offer any auto-renewing subscriptions. All purchases are one-time consumables.

5. Your account

• You sign in with Apple or Google. We do not maintain a username/password directory of our own.
• You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID or Google account secure and for any activity that happens on your Coin Cup account as a result.
• One account per person. Multi-accounting, sybil accounts, and coordinated rings are prohibited (see section 7).

6. User-created predictions

The Service lets you create your own prediction question, set the options, and earn a 3% creator cut of the resulting pool. By creating a prediction you represent that:

• You hold or have permission for all rights to the title, description, and option labels you submit.
• The content does not violate any law, infringe any third-party right, or fall in any of the prohibited categories listed in section 7.
• The result can be verified objectively from a public source (a final match score, a published election outcome, etc.). Predictions that depend on unverifiable subjective opinion are subject to removal.

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and operate around the content you submit, for as long as you keep your account active. We may remove any prediction at any time without notice (with refunds to participants where appropriate) if it violates these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create predictions that involve real-world harm, hate speech, harassment, defamation, sexual content involving minors, terrorism, or other illegal subject matter.
• Upload avatars or nicknames that are sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, infringing, or impersonate another person.
• Manipulate odds via multi-accounting, automated agents, or coordinated rings.
• Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise disrupt the Service or the underlying backend.
• Circumvent rate limits, idempotency checks, or in-app purchase validation.
• Buy, sell, or transfer coins, gems, credit score, or accounts off-platform for real money or anything else of value.
• Use the Service in any way that creates legal liability for Caitty.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate any account that violates this section. Coin and gem balances of terminated accounts are forfeited.

8. Reporting and blocking

We rely on the community to flag content that violates section 7. Inside the app you can:

• Report a game (open the prediction, tap the ⋯ button, then "Report this game") or another user (same menu, "Report creator"). Reports go directly to a moderation queue reviewed by Caitty staff.
• Block another user (prediction ⋯ → "Block creator"). Blocked users no longer appear in your in-app views; you can manage and undo blocks any time from Profile → Blocked users.

We respond to abuse reports within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in content removal and may lead to account suspension or termination under section 7. Repeat offenders are removed from the Service. Anyone can also email [email protected] at any time — please include screenshots and a link to the offending content where possible.

9. Results, corrections, and disputes

Game creators submit a final result after the match. The Service then opens a 24-hour challenge window during which any player can dispute the result. Disputes are reviewed by manager moderators and, where the creator's result is overturned, the original payouts are reversed and re-settled against the corrected outcome. A creator whose result is overturned loses 3 credit-score points.

Caitty's backend administrators may also correct a result outside the challenge window if a clear error is identified. All corrections are logged in an append-only audit table that you can request a copy of via [email protected].

10. Advertising

Coin Cup is ad-supported in the free tier. Rewarded video ads — served by Google AdMob — are opt-in: you only see one if you tap "Watch ad +20 coins". We do not show ads on prediction surfaces, on the leaderboard, or inside any flow that could be misleading. See our Privacy Policy for what is shared with ad partners.

11. Availability & changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including in-game economy parameters (creator cut, house cut, daily check-in reward), Lucky Wheel weights, gem pack contents, supported topics, or backend regions. We will make a reasonable effort to notify you of material changes via the app or this site.

12. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties including Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, APNs), Google (Sign-In, AdMob), and Cloudflare (hosting, D1, R2). Their terms apply in addition to ours where relevant. We are not responsible for actions or failures of these third parties beyond our reasonable control.

13. Intellectual property

The Coin Cup app, brand, user interface, art, copy, and supporting code are owned by Caitty and protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that match results, odds, or settlement timing will be free of error. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caitty and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, virtual currency, or reputation arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50 if you paid nothing.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Caitty harmless from any claim or demand arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, the content you submit, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app or deleting your account in Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, liability, indemnification, virtual-currency forfeiture) will survive.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Caitty operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
