Another company relying on AI instead of REAL customer service
This app doesnโt have a way to contact any customer service. Youโre forced to chat an AI bot that is completely useless. If you ask to escalate to a customer service they promise a customer service agent will respond within 72 hours. Spoiler alert: THEY DONT. So they pretty much have zero customer service.
USPS failed to scan in one of my sales when it shipped. So the buyer got a free item and I got no payout. Absolutely unacceptable and pretty much robbery.

Best of the best
I am so impressed with this app! Get what youโre looking for, for a fraction of the price then a retail store. I have place about 20 purchases without any issues. This is better then Ebay, Amazon or any other selling/Buying apps hands down! Depop please donโt change how you do things

Easy to use until there is a dispute
I had two buyers raise an issue that they did t receive an item so they filed an issue. Then they messaged that they actually got the item. My app was stuck on the refund option. Chat didnโt help at all and then when I asked for a rep it was going to be 7 days. The app automatically refunds buyers after 48 hours. Not cool. Easy to scam the seller.

Terrible customer service
Customer support is 0/10. Iโve had ongoing issues and have reached out but keep getting automated messages saying someone will be in touch in 72 hours. there is no real live person to speak to or phone number to call.

Great for buyers, not sellers
The only pro for using this app opposed to others is that sellers frequently list items for dirt cheap. Iโm appalled when I see items listed for less than $10 and people have sent offers.. so I guess it gives it a true thrifting vibe. Now for the cons, itโs quite annoying to use if youโre a seller. Because prices are usually dirt cheap, Iโve gotten some of the most low ball offers that Iโve ever received, and I use four other apps to sell things. Buyers are allowed to send offers with no commitment to pay, if accepted. This is super annoying because youโre accepting offers nearly all day and you havenโt actually made a sale, Iโm not sure why this is allowed. Depop also wants you to boost your items in order to see your stats, but they deduct a โboostโ fee if your item sells from being boosted which gives scammy behavior. Then Depop makes you calculate how much youโll actually make once an item is sold and thereโs a waiting period (aside from the item being delivered and rated/accepted) before you can cash out your funds. Such a hassle to use for what itโs worth, there are other apps that are actually beneficial to sellers wanting to make a profitable sale.

Automatic flag as counterfeit
Depop automatic flag item as counterfeit!! I have pending pay out not able to get it. Depop suspended my account. Sucks idk if i will get my money back. Smh

So glad I started!
Selling on DEPOP has been amazing, itโs like having a garage sale but online, shipping items is so easy with a scannable code.
I also love buying on Depop, almost anything you could think of old and new is on here

Donโt sell on here unless itโs just clothes
I sold a binder of pokemon cards for 600$ total and they were authentic because not only were most of the cards from Walmart a good many were from card shops as well and 3 out of 4 buyers requested a refund for them being โfake โ and I got a 127.83$ charge on my card because people are falsely charging and asking for refunds and going around doing extortion fraud and I have 2 pending payments that still have not received due to being suspended because these people are literally fake and falsely refunding their items and Iโm probably not going to be paid for shipping ( came out of my pay mind you ) and itโs just unreal how low people are . Donโt sell everything on depop try eBay itโs so much better

Ridiculous add on fees
Itโs crazy how much they tack on after the sellers price. You buy something that is 15 dollars and after all the fees and shipping youโre paying $30. I would recommend using Vinted instead. Free shipping and they only add maybe a dollar onto the sellers price.

Boosting Fees
As much as I love selling on Depop Iโm switching to Vinted, boosting fees are insane and take a huge 12% & unfortunately without them it seems like my items get very little attention unless itโs something very specific thatโs trending
