AI photos and aggressive amounts of ads
Ok there seems to have been a new setting installed that reduces ai results. Thank you!!! But I still get a lot of ai beauty selfies sneaking in which is a shame. I come onto this app to look for human inspiration
And I am really disappointed by the amount of ads lately. I was trying to look up “90s fashion “ for example for some inspiration on what to wear. And I’m not even kidding, 5 seconds into scrolling I looked at 25 ads in a row. Mind you— on a smartphone it’s two pictures PER ROW. So I went through over 12 rows of JUST ADS before even seeing actual results for my search. It’s so exhausting. I understand having an ad every other row, get your bag but nearly 13 rows of aggressively targeted ads???? Do you even care about your users at this point lol?
Between the inescapable AI content that a lot of users don’t want, and the overwhelming amount of ads lately— this app is going downhill fast.
Please improve so some of your loyal users actually want to stay.

Years long user lost
I have used Pinterest for probably 15 years. I remember the wonderful days when you could actually control what showed up on your feed by who you followed. I remember when weird ads weren't everywhere but I have suffered all of this for organization of decor inspo and recipes; enter Ai. Ai content has literally ruined this app. I want to see actual houses, not some weird almost normal but something is just off photo. I have a feeling Pinterest's days are numbered. I wish there was a way to return to the glorious days of 15 years ago. Ah, well, such is life.

This used to be my favorite place to go for inspiration. Not anymore. It’s overrun with AI links, ads and content farm websites. Super disappointing.

Great app but one small problem
I love Pinterest and have used it for years and will continue to use it for many more. I mostly just use it to browse images of my hobbies and it helps to motivate me to do them! However the constant ads have become a real problem and it’s such a drag because they are truly constant. If we could just reduce the ads then I’d be a happy camper!

Ai images and ads
Mostly a good app, nowadays it has a lot of ai which is not usually marked as that. It also sometimes has bugs which break the app.
They also have a lot of ads on the site now, which take you to different places and can be quite distracting.
It’s a good app but not for everyone.

Used to be better
I used to live and breathe Pinterest. However the most recent update (granted it’s been a moment since I updated) is borderline overwhelming.
Tons of AI slop. When an image is selected it flashes open rather than simply loading. If you attempt to pin something from the search/homepage, an animation tosses the image and your focus off to a skewed angle. The ads are incessant..
For anyone who enjoyed Pinterest as a calmer social media or organization experience, I’d honestly say look elsewhere.
I know I’m going to begin using another platform. But maybe I’m just not their target audience anymore (Joined at 17yrs and now 32)
Tbh I’ve never written an app review but this is just so exhausting, I decided to say something.

Notifications
It’s an amazing app, i use it everyday, one problem i have is that i don’t get messaging notifications despite it all being toggled on, ive been having this issue for months and thought by deleting and redownloading the app it would fix but it hasn’t, does anyone have any tips or advice?

Used to be such a good app. I’ve had Pinterest for so many years and I’m so done with the AI and ADS.

Used to be great. Too many ads.
I just searched for a hairstyle. Out of the first 20 posts shown to me, 12 of them were ads! That’s a pretty fair representation for what Pinterest is like these days.
My other major problem with Pinterest (and all social media platforms now) is how much AI there is. There’s an option to filter out AI results, but it doesn’t work 100% of the time.
It’s too bad this platform is so inundated with ads and ai, it used to be such a fun creative place. Now using it feels like a hassle trying to filter through all the garbage.

Insufferable with the ads. 80% ADS
This app used to be useful and a way to inspire and refresh my motivation across all aspects of my life. Now I hate it. I used it for business, organization, mindset themed ideas and now I can’t scroll without seeing an advertisement in nearly every single post. What is going on?! I’m beyond angered by this and hate what everything is turning into.

There’s so many ads that pop up where I can’t see the recipe. Right when I tap the “x” to get rid of them. They pop back up and it’s annoying.

Deteriorated
There’s a huge AI finding button on these rather small pictures it was already appealing. Then it became bright orange it’s sad to see Pinterest fall down so far. Other than that I have no complaints however I hope you will erase this useless feature.

So for the few days that I’ve tried to go on Pinterest but it never loaded or sometimes it did but it never fully loaded. So I uninstalled Pinterest many times and the app hasn’t still worked… PLEASE HELP 😔

It’s changed
Pinterest used to be a place where I could hone my creativity and find fun new ideas and share them with my friends. It is a now a place where I can go if I want to scroll through a whole bunch of hyper tailored ads trying to convince me to but their product. The magic is gone. I don’t want to get on an app which was originally meant to help me share creative ideas and instead be swamped by more capitalism— we get enough of that everywhere else. Leave us a space for creativity, please.
