Obsidian Sync is optional. You can sync the vault folder with plugins and third-party tools. This guide covers the options: https://obsidian.md/help/sync-notes
Why do you want to access ALL the files on my phone, at any time, without telling me?

Huh? It is not required. Just choose "App storage" for your vault location. The "All files" permission is only there because some users want to sync with third-party tools like Syncthing. But if you don't need other apps to access your data, then just use "App storage". Does that help? See also: https://obsidian.md/help/android

I adore this app! It allows countless possibilities to customize, to the point it can be overwhelming. I'd say it can fit better for advanced users, but even without setting up, it can work. Though, if the goal is simple fleeting notes, other simpler apps can be better, or be used alongside it. It is one of my most favorite apps, both on PC and Android. Sync can be done manually via extensions and free services; if on PC, there is also a GitHub option. Either way, I advise backing up regularly.

My Neovim setup on termux have better performance than ts.

Switched from Notion. Worth the learning curve. Edit: Its strength, extraordinary. The mark of a true writing app to rule them all
Title names do not change anymore and remain as "Untitled" even after edit.

Does this happen with every note or only certain notes? Are you using any plugins or themes? If yes does the issue happen when they are turned off? Is it possible you're trying to use a title that's already taken?
The version on the web is OVERLY confusing to use and I can't even sign in with the mobile app. I have reset my password SIX TIMES and still can't log in.

amazing app! privacy suggestion: i think it would be cool if we could password-lock certain notes and have an option to use password/PIN to login
For quick on the go edit and capture have to use Zettel Notes+ other apps. Can't easily open a local markdown file in Obsidian. Phablet era and devs removed multi panes. Great in desktop. Mobile look elsewhere.

Everyone raves about the graph view, but Obsidian’s real superpower is its local-first, plain-text Markdown architecture. Zero vendor lock-in means your knowledge base is completely future-proof. The bidirectional linking is buttery smooth. Pro tip: don’t bloat it with community plugins on day one. Start clean, master core linking, and maybe set up a Git repo for free headless syncing. Hands down the ultimate PKM tool.
I really love this app! Obsidian has become my main notes app, and I especially love that I can customize the interface with different themes, colors, and styles. The only thing I wish could be improved is the fullscreen experience on Samsung DeX, especially older versions. The Dex top bar stays visible and can look out of place with customized themes. I hope Obsidian can add a force fullscreen option for dex someday!
App is good, but more widgets would be needed Edit: I especially mean widgets like a "Open Daily Note" oe the possibility to view and edit a specific note on the homescreen

That is incorrect. “All files” access is not required. You can choose "App storage" if you don’t need Syncthing or another external tool to access your vault. Your data is private, see: https://obsidian.md/help/android#Vault+location
Better note-taking app than anything I've ever had before, and doesn't include any native AI slop. It lets me store everything offline too

A very good note-taking app
Made for PC. Not for phones. Jumps too much when pressing Checkboxes. Jumps to cursor. It shouldn't jump there. It has to stay where the screen is looking at. Edit: Thanks for reply. It happens when in Reading mode, you press the Checkbox and it goes to editing mode and jumps back to the cursor.

Thanks, Wasif. I will try to fix that for you but I can't reproduce the issue. Are you using a theme or plugins? If so does the issue persist when you disable them? Does this happen in editing or reading mode?

Its only good for reading and maintaining markfown files. cannot copy large text come what may. Doesn't scroll down when selecting. Even if you do a scroll-select-scroll, it gives up midway and shows two options: "Readable Line Length" & "Inline Title". No idea what it means, not sure why it doesn't let me just copy the text.

I'm sorry that's happening. I noticed you're on Android 12? This could be related to Android bugs that have been fixed in later versions.
Best note taking app and improved my productivity by 350℅ a great app for productivity
Insanely helpful for writing as I personally use it for writing fiction and organizing my story's plot, oc, factions etc. Overall, I'd recommend this over any other writing app. P.S: be patient when trying to discover and understand the writing and organizing process.
