Still believe this since posting back in 2016. Really enjoying Spotify. I've tried other online music players and nothing come close to Spotify.

ok the answer to my review about local files missing artwork and controls is 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘤. It is a general issue. it made it on reddit too. fix it, else I'll cancel my premium and go somewhere else. I am an artist with loads of local files of my own work.

Great app for discovering new songs, and wide variety of the retro too. Only problem is a bug that forces you to connect to the internet so that the app can load the startup menu and play the offline songs, even with the premium subscription.
I'm using TIDAL rather than Spotify, but the thing Spotify has that tidal doesn't, is that in TIDAL, some artists have multiple profiles due to metadata mismatches, but in Spotify, this issue is fixed.
I love this app
Each time there are new issues with the app. Previously it became really slow. Now no subtitles for podcasts. I deleted data, uninstalled and reinstalled, and the problem persists. Subtitles return for a few moments and disappear again.
